Mobile Lifeguarding & Swim Instruction Policies

Our top priority is to provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy the water with confidence. Please review the following policies to help us ensure every lesson and event runs smoothly and safely.

Payment Policy

Payment is due in advance of your scheduled lesson or event booking to secure your spot. E-transfers are the preferred payment method. Receipts are available upon request

Refund and Reschedule Policy

Cancellations of swimming lessons with 48+ hours’ notice may be added to the end of the swimming lesson series if time permits within the Swimming Instructor's schedule. If time does not permit, the lesson will not be refunded. Class availability ends on August 24, 2025. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-shows will still be billed at the full rate and are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

Late Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an event. Late cancellations (<48 hours) will be billed at the full rate. No-shows will be billed in full. Your understanding keeps scheduling fair and consistent for all event hosts.

Inclement Weather Policy

Safety is our top priority.

Lessons or lifeguard services may be postponed, paused, or cancelled due to unsafe weather, including:

  • Thunderstorms or lightning

  • Heavy rain reducing visibility

  • High winds making swimming unsafe

  • Other severe weather alerts

  • If unsafe weather is forecast before the lesson or event: You will be notified as early as possible to reschedule at no extra cost.

  • If unsafe weather develops during the lesson or event: We will pause immediately for safety.

  • If we cannot continue, we'll discuss rescheduling or partial credit based on the time completed.

Arrival & Readiness Policy

Please ensure swimmers are ready to begin on time:

  • Swimsuits on (in the Aquaguard Backyard Pool - please ensure swimsuits have been rinsed thoroughly of any lake, river, or pond water before attending - this helps prevent algae growth in our pool)

  • Sunscreen applied

  • Bathroom break taken

  • Water bottle on hand

This helps us make the most of every session or event

Supervision Policy

For Lessons: A parent or guardian must remain on-site during the entire lesson.

For Lifeguarded Events: Event hosts remain responsible for overall guest supervision. Our role is to provide professional, vigilant lifeguard support—not to replace parental or host supervision.

Health & Illness Policy

If your child is sick, please reschedule and refer to our cancellation policy above. Swimming while ill is unsafe for them and others. Thank you for helping keep all swimmers healthy.

Equipment & Pool Access Policy

For mobile lessons or events at private pools: Ensure the pool is clean, accessible, and safe before the session. We will inspect the area for safety before starting and reserve the right to delay or cancel if conditions are unsafe.

Alcohol & Intoxicated Participants Policy

Safety always comes first: Swimming while intoxicated is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right to ask intoxicated individuals to leave the pool area.

Event hosts are expected to help monitor and enforce this policy. For events serving alcohol, please ensure clear adult supervision of children at all times.

Music Volume Policy

Music is welcome, but it must support a safe environment.

Please keep music at a reasonable volume so safety instructions and whistles can be heard.

Extremely loud or disruptive music may need to be turned down or paused to maintain safety.

Photography & Social Media Policy

Your privacy and the privacy of your children are important to us.

We will always ask for your permission before taking or sharing any photos or videos of your child on social media or in marketing materials.

Emergency Protocol

As certified lifeguards, we are trained in emergency response, CPR, and First Aid.

In an emergency, we will follow all safety protocols, administer care as needed within our training, contact EMS if necessary, and notify parents/guardians immediately.

Your child’s safety and the safety of your guests are always our highest priority.

Waiver / Consent Acknowledgment

By booking with AquaGuard Swim Co., you acknowledge that swimming and water activities carry inherent risks. You agree to follow all safety instructions and consent to participation under our guidance.
